The range of
programs, services, policy advice and briefings on offer
by SG is a reflection on our belief that, when combined,
they serve to produce a structured, well planned and
ever evolving knowledge management environment. Around the world these elements have been used to produce frameworks managed, and run, by a diverse group of agencies, departments and ministries. Importantly a knowledge management environment is very much like the plan for a city or town. A city requires infrastructure such as roads, schools and parks. It requires housing, power, water, gas and electricity. Just as a town or city requires infrastructure so to does a knowledge management environment - in fact, the elements are very similar in nature. For example a road network is represented by the channels that allow knowledge, information and data to flow through an organisation. A school could be represented by the gaps that occur in existing knowledge and the education and skills programs required by an organisation to fill such gaps. Power, water and gas are represented by the technology required to power the knowledge management environment such as applications and software programs. SG works with organisations to identify the existing elements, map them and then design a knowledge management environment that takes into account the current situation and future requirements. To find out more about how we can help you develop your knowledge management environment please feel free to email us at info@sansgov.com and let us know a little about your organisation and its requirements.
